Nationals '07 Approaches...

BECAUSE MOVIES SAY IT SO MUCH BETTER:

I can only hope, with all of Canada's teams gathered against us, there might be one down there who's up to the task. We will do what we were trained to do, what we were bred to do, what we were born to do... Even though the margin of error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast, and you don't quite catch it... But, if you are going to win any battle, you have to do one thing: You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body is never tired if the mind is not tired. Don't scratch your head unless it itches and don't dance unless you hear some music. You will not be intimidated. You're never beaten until you admit it. Take calculated risks. That's going to make the difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying... Now, I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guy next to you. You're going to see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team because he knows, when it comes down to it, you're going to do the same for him. That's 7 players on the field functioning as one single unit: team, team, team - no one more important than the other. So, may God have mercy on the other teams... because we wont.

CEUUC 2007

On September 22nd & 23rd, Ottawa was host to this years Easterns. This was Mothership's first tournament of the season and it was a good learning experience as well as a chance for the team to bond. With many of our vets gone, the rookies had some big shoes to fill but showed that they could make the big plays as well. With a 5th overall finish and a better understanding of what we're up against, Ship will begin preparations for a serious roof-tearing at Nationals.
