TRYOUTS 2007
Open tryouts, all are welcome to attend.
Date: September 11 - 13, 2007 (Tuesday - Thursday)
When: 8 pm to 11 pm (Arrive 15 minutes early)
Where: West Campus Fields
What to Bring: white shirt, dark shirt (preferably with a number on the back), cleats, and water. Punishment for people with grey shirts.
Tryout Details: Tryouts begin the first week after frosh week, and the team is chosen after the first week. We will be choosing a roster of 20-25 players. Although we will prioritize the development of athletic individuals, the final composition of the team will be kept open until tryouts are finished. Everyone starts on an even footing to earn a spot on the team. Even if you have a basic level of ultimate experience, but a strong athletic background, we highly encourage everyone to attend. The Queen’s program is built upon development of young players to become an integral part of the team in later years.
Season Details: The season can be summarized as a “short blitz”. From then on, one can expect to travel away for tournaments every other week, until the middle of October where the season ends after the National University tournament held in Vancouver this year.
We will be practicing three times a week from Tuesday to Thursday, from 8 pm to 11 pm. There may be other time commitments involving strategy discussions or fitness training.
Should you have any further questions, please contact Miles Wilson (5mw8@queensu.ca).
Good luck and be prepared to work hard!
